In this episode of the Inspire Greatness Podcast, I had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Lindsay Whorton, President of The Holdsworth Center and author of the book A New School Leadership Architecture.
The Holdsworth Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening public school leadership in Texas.
Since its founding, the Center has grown from serving seven districts to supporting more than 1,900 leaders across 89 districts, helping build a stronger pipeline of superintendents and principals.
Dr. Whorton’s book, A New School Leadership Architecture, offers a fresh framework for rethinking how schools develop and sustain effective leadership.
Dr. Whorton has been with The Holdsworth Center since its inception, helping design its programming and guiding its growth as President since 2019.
Her leadership journey—from consulting at Boston Consulting Group to shaping one of the most impactful education leadership organizations in the country—offers valuable lessons for leaders in every field.
During our conversation, Dr. Whorton discussed her three proven methods for inspiring greatness in team members:
- Distributing the weight of big challenges
- Believing in people by setting high expectations
- Balancing urgency with long-term vision
Tune in to be inspired by Dr. Whorton’s wisdom and passion!
